PadMad is a Kenya-based social enterprise on a mission to end period poverty and restore dignity to women and adolescent girls affected by inequality.
We envision a future where every girl and woman can manage her period with confidence, free from barriers that limit access to education, work, and everyday life.
Through a holistic and sustainable approach, we empower underprivileged and marginalized communities by:
Education & Awareness
Breaking taboos and misinformation through comprehensive menstrual health management (MHH) and sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) education.
Affordable & Sustainable Solutions
Providing biodegradable, reusable menstrual pads that are eco-friendly, cost-effective, and designed to meet real needs.
Economic Empowerment
Creating jobs and training opportunities for marginalized women, fostering financial independence and self-sustaining communities.
Despite ongoing efforts, period poverty remains a daily reality for millions of women and girls worldwide.
This is not a new issue, it has persisted for generations, limiting opportunities and reinforcing inequality.
As an impact-driven organization, we have developed a proven, holistic Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH) solution, backed by strong data and evidence.
Alongside our reusable menstrual kits, we equip our partners with essential resources, including an MHH Education Toolkit and a Monitoring & Evaluation framework, to drive meaningful, long-term change.
But we cannot do it alone
We are committed to collaborating with communities, organizations, and governments to scale solutions across Kenya, Africa, and beyond.
Together, we can end period poverty and create a world where menstruation is never a barrier to dignity, education, or opportunity.
we have empowered over 150,000 adolescent girls, boys, and young mothers in Kenya with reusable pad kits and education on menstruation, hygiene, and reproductive health, breaking taboos, fostering dignity, and transforming lives.
Our commitment to reaching even the most remote communities ensures that no one is left behind.
